For the sixth year in a row, Collagistas Festival traveled to a new city to meet local and global collage artists. Until now, we have visited Berlin, Thessaloniki, Eindhoven, Milan and Dublin. This year the Festival took place in Brussels, Belgium, from 5 to 8 September at Maison du Peuple de Saint – Gilles (stgillesculture.irisnet.be 1060 Brussels, Belgium). The theme for this year’s exhibition was “The Universal Language”.
Collage artists from Belgium, Greece, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Israel, France, Netherlands, Poland, U.K., Peru, Chile, U.S.A., Slovenia, Venezuela, Portugal, Italy, Namibia, Japan and Spain will gathered for the annual meeting of collagistas.
The primary purpose is to create an opportunity where collage artists can come together to share ideas and thoughts about their collage practise and to disseminate this information through workshops and presentations.
The exhibition, deserves only one word: Fantastic!
